Worship and Music

 Psalm 150

 Praise the Lord.
 Praise God in his sanctuary;
 Praise him in his mighty heavens.

 Praise him for his acts of power;
 Praise him for his surpassing greatness.

 Praise him with the sounding of the trumpet,
 Praise him with the harp and lyre.

 Praise him with tambourine and dancing,
 Praise him with the strings and flute.

 Praise him with the clash of cymbals,
 Praise him with resounding cymbals.

 Let everything that has breath praise the LORD.
 Praise the LORD.

Our life together as a community of faith is built around the joy we experience through worship.  Worship services deepen our relationship with God and with each other so that we might live out our commitment to our Lord.

Worship is at the core of the life of Holy Trinity.  The rich life of worship consists of corporate worship, personal prayer, devotions, meditation, and music.  Corporate worship is when we unite ourselves with others to acknowledge the holiness of God, to hear God’s word, to offer prayers, and to celebrate the sacraments.    All are welcome to join in worship and giving thanks to a loving and ever-present God.

Our Services:

Sundays, Holy Eucharist at 8:00* am and 10:30* am

*The First Sunday of the Month is One Combined Service at 9:30 am

Wednesdays, Morning Prayer at 8:30 am

Services include readings from the Bible as appointed for each Sunday.  This schedule of readings is called The Lectionary.  Prayers include intercessions and petitions by members for themselves and others.

Many persons participate in the preparation for the worship services.  Lay ministry is vital to the context of worship.    The Altar Guild and Flower Guild are two of our most active.  Members of the congregation serve God by preparing for the services, as well as for baptisms, weddings, funerals, and other special services.  Training is available for interested persons.

Holy Trinity is blessed with a number of Eucharistic ministers who assist the clergy with the distribution of Holy Communion and lectors who read the Scripture lessons at the services and lead the congregation in reciting the Psalms and intercessory prayers.

Members of Holy Trinity serve as ushers and greeters to welcome and assist all who attend services.  They represent and extend the hospitality of Holy Trinity to all who visit and participate in the worship services.

Music is an integral and vital element of the worship at Holy Trinity.  Hymns, anthems, special music, and settings of the service music enhance and grace the worship services at all services.  The choir of Holy Trinity brings musical leadership to the congregation.  This dedicated group prepares each week to lead the congregational singing and to offer anthems and praise music at services. The music program is under the direction and leadership of a skilled and experienced organist and choirmaster.

On some occasions, instrumental musical offerings and concerts are scheduled. Our church is blessed with a glorious Visser Roland Tracker organ.
