Parish Life

The Vestry is thXmas.Baazar.Open.crop.07001.jpge governing body of the church, elected to represent the people of the parish.  Holy Trinity wardens and vestry are elected at the annual parish meeting held in November.  Meetings of the vestry are open to all members of the church.  The current vestry has nine members; two of those vestry members serve as the Senior and Junior wardens.

Committees are formed each year to carry out desired functions.  Members of the parish are encouraged to serve on committees and use their talents and skills.

Information about Parish Life is made available to the congregation through the Lifeline newsletter, which is distributed, monthly.  The newsletter contains a message from our Rector, the wardens and vestry, and committee updates. Dates of upcoming events, times of services, and ongoing church activities are included.

A church pictorial directory provides current photos and information about members.  It serves as a useful informational booklet.  Pew cards are provided for newcomers. In addition, newcomers are welcomed with bags filled with information about the parish and its ministries.

The parish throughout the year sponsors a variety of activities. The parish is having a “Country Rectory Show House” this fall.  There are several musical concerts planned in 2009. One of the most popular events is “Open Door.”   Several times each year, members of the parish are invited to attend a dinner held either on church property or in a private home.  A committee plans each event with a festive theme, and everyone has a chance to get to know each other better.

The Episcopal Church Women (ECW) usually hosts a spring Flower and Plant Sale and a Christmas Bazaar.  Proceeds benefit outreach projects.

Refreshments are offered following each Sunday service to allow fellowship time for members and visitors.

Holy Trinity is a caring and loving community.  We warmly receive everyone who comes our way.  Please join and enjoy our services!
