Mission & Outreach

Jesus said, “ the second commandment is to love our neighbors as ourselves". That neighbor can be next door, down the street, in town or out, in our Diocese or another State, in our Country or one on far away shores. Jesus commanded us to love them all with the same attention, dignity, and compassion we would show ourselves. That is our mission.  To fulfill that mission we are required to reach out to all with open arms and hearts. The Mission & Outreach Committee works to answer this call.

Current Projects:

Habitat for Humanity  - As a Partner in Faith we send a team the third Saturday every other month to work at a local Project. We also raise funds for Habitat.

Food Pantry  - We collect non-perishable foods at Holy Trinity and deliver them once a week to the food pantry in Easton, MD.

Wednesday Soup Lunches  - We prepare hot soup lunches with sandwich, fruit and dessert at Holy Trinity each Wednesday and deliver them to shut-ins in the Oxford and Trappe area.

Episcopal Relief and Development  - An ongoing yearly project.

Harmony Ministries & Haiti  - Since 2002 Holy Trinity has been sending medicines, school supplies, and funds for food to Pastor Luc Deratus and his three churches and schools of Harmony Ministries in Haiti. A medical mission was made and supported in January 2008 and a mission trip was taken in November 2009.

The Children's Home Foundation – We provide support to this low profile, but critical charity, which helps young men and women not able to afford four year college receive advanced training in nursing and the trades.
